Hosting FAQ
What's the difference between Basic and WordPress Hosting?
Both plans include hosting, a free SSL certificate, forms with automated replies, a live chat widget, website analytics and the Fuzzy Logic app. Basic Hosting is for websites built with our drag-and-drop website builder. WordPress Hosting adds managed WordPress, so you can run a WordPress site with your own themes and plugins.
How much will I actually pay?
Basic Hosting is £10 + VAT (£12 including VAT) a month, and WordPress Hosting is £15 + VAT (£18 including VAT) a month. Pay yearly upfront and you get 2 months free: £100 + VAT (£120 including VAT) for Basic Hosting, or £150 + VAT (£180 including VAT) for WordPress Hosting. The checkout shows the price before VAT, and VAT at 20% is added when you pay. Emails and texts sent by your automations are billed pay-as-you-go, at the same fair rates as our app plans, so you only pay for what you send.
Is there a contract?
No. On monthly billing you can cancel whenever you like. If you pay yearly, you pay for 12 months upfront and get 2 months free; yearly payments aren't refunded if you cancel part-way through. Payments already taken are not refunded, so cancel before your next renewal date if you don't want to be charged again.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You can connect a domain you already own to either plan. Domain names aren't included in the price, so if you don't have one yet you'll need to buy it from a domain registrar. Our team can help you point it at your new hosting.
How do the automated form replies work?
When a visitor fills in a form on your website, they get an instant reply by email (or text, if you choose) and you get a notification in the app. You decide what the message says, and you can change it at any time.
Can I move my existing website to you?
Usually, yes. WordPress sites can generally be moved onto WordPress Hosting, and sites on other platforms can be rebuilt in our website builder. Book a free call and we'll look at your site and tell you the best way to move it. If you'd like us to do the work for you, we'll quote before we start.
Will you design my website for me?
Hosting doesn't include design work, but our sister agency Fuzzy Studio designs and builds websites for small businesses. Book a free call to talk it through.
Is hosting included in the Fuzzy Logic app plans?
Yes. Basic Hosting is included in every Fuzzy Logic app plan, from Freedom to Framework, at no extra cost. If you're already a Fuzzy Logic customer, you don't need to buy a separate hosting plan to host a site built in our website builder.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, at any time. Hosting customers can move up to Freedom, Flow, Fusion or Framework and keep their website, contacts and conversations. Basic Hosting is included in every app plan, so you won't pay for hosting twice.
Is there a free trial?
The hosting plans don't have a free trial, but there's no contract either, so you can try a month and cancel if it isn't right for you. Our Freedom app plan comes with a 14-day free trial.
